"Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Model: Experience, Youth, and International Impact" was held

Within the framework of the "Youth in Intercultural Dialogue for Peace – Baku Forum"—organized by the "Bir Könüllü" Students Cooperation Public Union, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in partnership with Baku State University, the "BSU Volunteers" organization, and the Global Union for Intercultural Dialogue (GUIDE)—the first panel discussion titled "Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Model: Experience, Youth, and International Impact" was held. The panel session was moderated by Rufiz Gulizada, and an extensive exchange of views took place on the topic.

The first speaker of the panel, Aygun Khalilgizi, a staff member of the Philosophy Department of Baku State University, spoke about the philosophical foundations of multiculturalism, the essence of the concept of tolerance, and the impact of cultural diversity on the moral and intellectual development of society. She stated that multiculturalism is not only a social model but also a mindset and a system of values.

Yadigar Mammadli, Head of Department at the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, provided information on the history of the formation of the Azerbaijani multiculturalism model, its role in state policy, and its institutional foundations. He noted that this model has been formed on a practical level over the years and is successfully applied in education, culture, as well as various spheres of public life.

In his speech, Kenan Aliyev, Head of Sector at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of promoting multicultural values in youth policy. He stated that the active participation of youth in intercultural dialogue makes a significant contribution to strengthening inter-societal understanding.

The panel continued in an interactive format; the participants' questions were answered by the panelists, and a broad exchange of ideas was held around the topic. During the discussions, interesting points were raised regarding the application of the Azerbaijani multiculturalism model at the youth level, its international impact, and future prospects.
