Baku Forum on Youth for Peace through Intercultural Dialogue

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Baku Forum on Youth for Peace through Intercultural Dialogue" was organized by the "Bir Könüllü" Student Cooperation Public Union and Baku State University, in partnership with the Global Union for Intercultural Dialogue (GUIDE).


Overview

The Forum aimed to promote intercultural dialogue among young people, contribute to the dissemination of peace and tolerance values, and ensure broader recognition of the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism through active youth participation.


Structure

The Forum provided participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge across several thematic areas, including the role of intercultural dialogue and peace in the modern world, the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism, youth engagement in cultural diplomacy, the strengthening of mutual understanding among diverse cultural identities, and opportunities for cultural communication in the digital age. Sessions were structured around panel discussions, interactive workshops, and working groups, providing participants with space to exchange ideas, develop shared approaches, and build practical experience in intercultural dialogue.


Outcomes

The Forum concluded with the preparation of a final document entitled "Outcomes of the Baku Forum on Youth for Peace through Intercultural Dialogue," consolidating the key findings, recommendations, and commitments of participants across all sessions.
