With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA) has launched the “Baku Process Youth Simulation” project in collaboration with the Global Union for Intercultural Dialogue (GUIDE).

Overview

The Baku Process Youth Simulation is an international youth initiative developed within the framework of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. It represents the first youth-focused initiative established under the Baku Process, aimed at engaging young people directly in intercultural dialogue and raising awareness of the platform among both domestic and international youth audiences.

The project brings together young participants from Azerbaijan and partner countries to simulate real international discussions. Participants take on designated roles, engage in structured debates, exchange perspectives across cultural and national backgrounds, and work collectively toward common solutions.

Structure

The project is implemented in two phases.

The first phase consists of an open call for applicants from Azerbaijan and partner countries, followed by a series of online training sessions and interactive workshops. During this phase, selected participants are introduced to the objectives and principles of the Baku Process, the significance of intercultural dialogue, and the landscape of international cooperation.

The second phase brings selected participants to Baku for in-person activities, including training sessions, panel discussions, and the simulation exercise itself. At the conclusion of the simulation, participants present a youth-authored resolution under the initiative titled "Baku Process: A Youth Perspective," which is formally submitted to the relevant authorities.

Outcomes

Participants contribute to a final outcome document containing key ideas and recommendations. The most active participants are selected as Baku Process Ambassadors and engaged in future international initiatives. The project aims to establish a sustainable platform for youth participation in intercultural dialogue at the international level.
